Ingredients (Serves 1)
- 1 beef steak (250–300 g, 2–3 cm thick)
- 1 tsp olive or rapeseed oil
- ½ tsp sea salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
- ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- 10 g butter (optional)
Meal Prep Steps
- Remove steak from the fridge 20–30 minutes before cooking.
- Pat dry thoroughly with kitchen paper.
- Preheat air fryer to 200°C for 3–5 minutes.
- Lightly oil and season both sides of the steak.
Cooking Instructions
- Place steak in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook at 200°C, turning halfway:
- Rare: 6–7 min (50°C internal)
- Medium-rare: 8–9 min (55–57°C)
- Medium: 10–11 min (60–63°C)
- Well-done: 12–14 min (68°C+)
- Remove steak and rest for 5 minutes.
- Finish with butter or herbs if desired.
Storage & Reheating Instructions
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
- Reheat in the air fryer at 160°C for 3–4 minutes.
- Avoid microwaving to prevent toughness.
