  • Thick-cut cooked ham (200 g)

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 200 g mature Cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 200 g cooked ham, thickly sliced
  • 4 slices crusty bread
  • 20 g butter
  • 2 tbsp Branston pickle or chutney
  • 1 apple, sliced
  • 2 celery sticks
  • Pickled onions, to taste
  • English mustard (optional)
  • Black pepper, to taste

Meal Prep Steps

  1. Wash and slice the apple.
  2. Cut the celery sticks in half.
  3. Slice the cheese and ham.
  4. Butter the bread lightly.
  5. Arrange condiments in small bowls.

Cooking Instructions

  1. Arrange the bread on a large plate or wooden board.
  2. Add slices of Cheddar and ham alongside the bread.
  3. Place apple slices, celery, and pickled onions around the board.
  4. Add Branston pickle and mustard on the side.
  5. Finish with a crack of black pepper over the cheese if desired.
  6. Serve immediately at room temperature.

Storage & Reheating Instructions

  • Best eaten fresh.
  • Components can be stored separately in airtight containers in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • Do not reheat; allow chilled items to return to room temperature before serving.
