Ingredients (Serves 2)
- 200 g mature Cheddar cheese, sliced
- 200 g cooked ham, thickly sliced
- 4 slices crusty bread
- 20 g butter
- 2 tbsp Branston pickle or chutney
- 1 apple, sliced
- 2 celery sticks
- Pickled onions, to taste
- English mustard (optional)
- Black pepper, to taste
Meal Prep Steps
- Wash and slice the apple.
- Cut the celery sticks in half.
- Slice the cheese and ham.
- Butter the bread lightly.
- Arrange condiments in small bowls.
Cooking Instructions
- Arrange the bread on a large plate or wooden board.
- Add slices of Cheddar and ham alongside the bread.
- Place apple slices, celery, and pickled onions around the board.
- Add Branston pickle and mustard on the side.
- Finish with a crack of black pepper over the cheese if desired.
- Serve immediately at room temperature.
Storage & Reheating Instructions
- Best eaten fresh.
- Components can be stored separately in airtight containers in the fridge for up to 2 days.
- Do not reheat; allow chilled items to return to room temperature before serving.
