Air Fryer Salmon + Asparagus Tips

A quick, simple method to cook both salmon and asparagus tips together in the air fryer.

Ingredients (2 servings)

  • 2 salmon fillets (150–200 g each)
  • 200 g asparagus tips
  • 1–2 tsp olive oil
  • Salt + pepper

Optional seasonings

  • Lemon juice or slices
  • Paprika, garlic powder, chilli flakes
  • Butter for finishing
  • Fresh herbs (dill, parsley, thyme)

Instructions

1. Prep the salmon

  1. Pat salmon dry.
  2. Rub lightly with olive oil.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, and optional paprika/garlic powder.
  4. Add lemon slices on top if using.

2. Prep the asparagus

  1. Toss asparagus in a bowl with a drizzle of olive oil.
  2. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Optional: Add minced garlic or a squeeze of lemon.

3. Air fry

  1. Preheat air fryer to 190°C (375°F) for 3–4 minutes.
  2. Place salmon fillets skin-side down in the basket.
  3. Add the asparagus tips around the salmon.
  4. Cook 8–10 minutes total.

Tip: Start checking from 8 minutes.
Salmon should flake easily and reach 52–55°C (125–130°F) for medium.
Asparagus should be tender-crisp and bright green.

If salmon needs more time, remove asparagus and cook fish for another 2–4 minutes.

4. Serve

  • Finish with a squeeze of lemon or a small pat of butter.
  • Add herbs or a crack of fresh pepper.
